Found in the south east of Northern Ireland is the golf course at the Bright Castle Golf Club. To the south of the major town of Downpatrick the club is well situated to receive visitors from both the rest of Northern Ireland as well as the north of nearby Ireland. The coast is only a short drive away from this club and there a number of lovely beaches in the area. Fellow golf courses found nearby include the one at Ardglass Golf Club which is another great golfing facility.There is little documented about the foundations of the club and its course however it is clear that this has developed and matured well into a popular golfing installation in the area. The club is enjoyed by a good mix of both members and visitors and all are sure to enjoy their time here. Measuring a lengthy 6500 metres from the white tees and with a par of 73 this is a course of monster
A cracking course, have been coming here for over twenty years and would recommend 100%. This course is well maintained and fully playable during the winter months, never a temporary tee box or green. (Round played: Sep 2014 – Score: 89 Handicap: 17.3)

Took group of golfers to Bright Castle 24/8/12, all of varying standards of ability. Every golfer found the course very enjoyable, and Gordon is a friendly and helpfull owner. Although the weather had been dreadfull with much heavy rain, the course was in a very good condition, with the greens running true and fast. The bar, shop and course all excellnt, nd at £12 / round you would strugle to get better value for money. Will defiately return with my society. Thanks BCGC.
