The Club

Since 1979

Founded in 1979 the grounds, of 16th century Bright Castle, this fantastic Par 73, 18 hole golf course was designed, by Arnold Ennis and have most popular courses in area, enjoyed by good mix of both members and visitors.
Located in the south east of Northern Ireland, to the south of the major town of Downpatrick, of years that course as played host to number of prestigious competitions, including the Ulster Professional Championship in that club’s inaugural year. Some of country’s finest golfers have graced, the demanding greens here including legends like the Ronan Rafferty, Michael Bannon, Paul Leonard, David Feherty and Ernie Jones to name. Once home the longest hole in European golf, Bright Castle Golf Course has humble beginning of country farm to country most challenging and enjoyable golf courses.

Bright Castle Golf Club are full members of Golfing Union the Ireland and for full membership packages. Visitors and societies, at more enjoy is inspiring 6400 yds long golf course. A round the remember is certainly on cards!
